Commentary
After a rather low-key handover of the management of the Park from South Cambs District Council to the Cambridge Sports Lake Trust in April 2008, the Trust organised a Public event to celebrate summer at the Park. This included a Dog show, brass band, rowing competition, storytelling, arts projects, and many related stalls. The event was very popular and will hopefully become an annual event.

As part of the First 'Summer Celebration' event the Rangers organised a dog show. This event featured catagories intended to match the typical park dog walker.
